When should you use this calculator?

Record each dividend payment: date, company/fund, number of shares, dividend per share and tax withholding. The template automatically calculates the gross total and the net amount you actually receive after withholdings.

How it is calculated

Default tax withholding is 19% (standard withholding in Spain for dividends from Spanish companies), but you can change it according to your withholding rate (may vary if you invest internationally or have a special tax treaty).

Practical tips

At the end of the year or period you choose, you'll see the total net dividends received. It's useful for passive income tracking and for calculating your total income for your tax return.

Frequently asked questions

What tax withholding should I use?

Withholding at source in Spain is 19% (until 2024 it was 21%). On foreign investments it may vary. Check your last broker statement or withholding document.

Do dividends reduce my portfolio gain/loss?

No. Dividends are separate income from capital gain/loss. In your tax return they're reported as capital income, not asset sales.
