About us

Who is behind Calculadoras Financieras, how the calculators are built and verified, and which sources we use.

Who is behind this

Calculadoras Financieras is an independent project created and maintained by Raul Vaquerizo, a software developer. I design, build and maintain every calculator myself, from the calculation logic to verifying the underlying formulas.

Methodology and sources

The tax and social security parameters used by the calculators (income tax brackets, contribution rates, minimum wage, pension coefficients) are checked against official sources — Spain's Official State Gazette (BOE), the Tax Agency, Social Security and the Bank of Spain — and each value is dated to its last verification. When an official source provides real-time data, such as the Euribor rate from the Bank of Spain, it is used directly instead of a fixed figure.

Keeping content up to date

Tax figures change every year (budget laws, social security updates). Calculators and their explanatory content are reviewed whenever these parameters officially change.

Independence

The calculators are free and require no sign-up. The site is funded by advertising, which does not influence any calculator's results or the sources we cite. Content is informational and does not replace professional, tax or legal advice.
